Pagebird is a document scanner app for Android by Atakli Store. It turns receipts, contracts, forms, ID cards, notes and book pages into clean PDF files with your phone camera, copies printed text with on-device OCR, and includes PDF tools to merge, split and compress files. After a one-time setup download of the scanner from Google Play services, it works offline. It has no ads and needs no account. Your documents are processed on your phone and are never uploaded.

Point your camera at a page. Edges are found, the page is straightened and captured for you. Scan one page or a whole stack.

Pagebird does not ask for camera, photo or storage permissions. Scanning runs through the Google Play services document scanner, and you choose which photos and files to open through the Android picker. Your scans, their text and their names are never sent to us or to anyone else.

Questions
Does Pagebird need an internet connection?
Only once, for setup: the scanner component downloads one time from Google Play services, usually in the background after the first launch or at your first scan. After that, scanning, OCR and PDF tools work offline. Buying or restoring Pro needs a connection.
Why doesn't Pagebird ask for camera permission?
The camera screen is provided by the Google Play services document scanner, which hands only the finished pages to Pagebird. Photos and files are opened through the Android picker, so Pagebird sees only what you pick.
What can I do without Pro?
Scan with unlimited pages, edit, merge, split, compress with presets, copy the text of a page with OCR and export PDFs, with no limits, no watermark and no ads. Pro adds extra tools.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Open the Play Store, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions › Pagebird › Cancel subscription. Settings › Manage subscription in the app opens the same page. Uninstalling the app does not cancel it.
Where are my documents stored?
Only in the app's private storage on your phone. Use Export library to save a backup file, and Android's phone-to-phone transfer moves your documents to a new phone.
